Marathon 1% G
Marathon 1% G has become the standard in control for whitefly and aphids in poinsettias, mums, and other flowering ornamentals. • The active ingredient is imidacloprid and there is a 12 hour REI. • Timing is essential to making Marathon go the distance. Marathon should be applied shortly after a good root system is developed and the plant is actively and rapidly growing. • When making your Marathon application remember that Marathon is very water soluble and you do not want to water to much or you will leach the product out of the pot. • Marathon 1% G is labeled for use on ornamentals grown in the greenhouse or nursery. • Marathon 1% G controls aldegids, aphids,thrips, whiteflies, armored scales, elm leaf beatles, japanese beatles, lacebugs, mealybugs, psylids, root mealybugs, root weevil, soft scale and white grub larvae. • It is important that when using Marathon to rotate chemicals and not use Marathon (no matter the formulation) back to back. • It is applied by top dressing or soil incorporation. • Marathon 1% G is available in a 5 pound jug and a 50 pound drum. • Please read the label for application information.
